An interesting game for Apoel (11-9) which played road game in Paralimni against one of their biggest challengers Enosis (8-12). Third ranked Apoel had an easy win 79-60. The game without a history. Apoel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Apoel looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Enosis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (200-90, college: Colgate) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Tre Bussey (190-91, college: Georgia South) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Apoel players scored in double figures. American power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: HMS) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Gerry Blakes (193, college: Arizona St.) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Enosis. Enosis' coach Nikolas Papadopoulos rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Apoel maintains third position with 11-9 record having seven points less than leader Keravnos. Enosis lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 12 games lost.
