No shocking result in a game when top-ranked CSKA 2 (7-0) defeated on the road 11th ranked Ryazan (2-7) 83-77. 29 personal fouls committed by Ryazan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Aleksandr Gankevich (201-95) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Alexander Gavrilov (193-96) supported him with 13 points. Four CSKA 2 players scored in double figures. Even 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by forward Andrey Semenov (200-90, college: JMU) did not help to save the game for Ryazan. Power forward Maxim Morozov (205-96) added 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA 2 have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted CSKA 2 maintains third position with 7-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader TEMP-SUMZ. Ryazan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. CSKA 2's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Samara-SGEU on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ryazan will play against Kupol-Rodniki (#7) and hope to win that game.
