Regular Season Round 15: ZTE KK - Szedeak 81-69

There was no surprise in Zalaegerszeg where 10th ranked Szedeak (6-9) was defeated by seventh ranked ZTE KK (8-7) 81-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE KK. Szedeak was better in second period 22-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when ZTE KK won last quarter 25-14. The best player for the winners was Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Zsolt Szabo (204-86) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. ZTE KK's coach Tamas Bencze allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josh Fortune (196-94, college: Colorado) who recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) added 8 points and 7 assists respectively. ZTE KK maintains seventh place with 8-7 record. Loser Szedeak keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. ZTE KK will face higher ranked Atomeromu (#6) in Paks in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Szedeak will play at home against PVSK-Veolia (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
