Second Stage Round 3: PVSK-Veolia - ZTE KK 106-95

The biggest surprise of round 3 in A Division took place in Pecs where host PVSK-Veolia (15-14) beat ZTE KK (14-14) 106-95 on Sunday evening. ZTE KK was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 33-17 charge of PVSK-Veolia, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 65.1 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) who scored 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Deonta Vaughn (184-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 22 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Zsolt Szabo (204-86) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four ZTE KK players scored in double figures. ZTE KK will play next round against strong Kaposvari trying to make it back to the top of the standings. PVSK-Veolia will try to continue on its current victory against Atomeromu in Paks.
