We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Nicosia where one of their biggest challengers ENAD (3-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Youth Stars (3-7) 40-36. ENAD was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 21-16 second half run of Youth Stars. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 4 points in second quarter. They held ENAD to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 27.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Youth Stars forced 24 ENAD turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. Guard Ellada Gavrielidou (165-2004) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Greek Hannah Kruse (180-2006) supported her with 5 points and 10 rebounds. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Antonia Nikiforou (165-2002) did not help to save the game for ENAD. Forward Ligia Ioannou (180-2002) added 8 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Youth Stars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated ENAD.
