Regular Season Round 15: Anorthosis - Keravnos 79-39

Bottom-ranked Keravnos is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to third ranked Anorthosis (9-6) 79-39 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Anorthosis. Keravnos managed to win fourth quarter 11-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Keravnos to just 7 points in third quarter. Anorthosis held Keravnos to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Keravnos 58-27 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Coach Dorina Ioannidou's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized German swingman Alyssa Pangalos (168-2003) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Vasiliki Pousiapake (176-2005) added 8 points respectively for Keravnos in the defeat. Anorthosis maintains third place with 9-6 record having six points less than leader AEL. Keravnos lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost.
