AEL crushed ENAD to take 1-0 lead. The game without a history. AEL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 6 points in first quarter. AEL dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to ENAD's 22. They also forced 22 ENAD turnovers and outrebounded them 39-21 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. AEL players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by ENAD's players. The former international guard Stefania Georgiou (175-2000) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 assists and 7 steals for the winning side and American swingman Hailey Leidel (180-1997, college: UMass) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Five AEL players scored in double figures. AEL's coach Giorgos Palalas felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ligia Ioannou (180-2002) came up with 10 points and 4 assists and point guard Antonia Nikiforou (165-2002) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for ENAD in the defeat.
