Anagennises fired past Anorthosis in the semifinal series opener. The game without a history. Anagennises led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Anorthosis to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Anagennises forced 23 Anorthosis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Anorthosis' players. Naturalized Bulgarian power forward Styliana Velinova (192-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) chipped in 23 points and 6 assists. At the losing side center Georgia Shampoulli (180-2005) responded with 7 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Tijana Raca (182-1997, college: Wyoming) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
