Everything could happen in Nicosia at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedEtha and 9th ranked PAEEK had identical 2-6 record. But PAEEK was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Nicosia 108-94 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Etha. PAEEK managed to win fourth quarter 31-23 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Etha looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by PAEEK 's players. American players dominated the game. Guard Ricky Clemons (187-2000, college: Campbell) had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 18 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Tyler Stevenson (206-2002, college: MSU) chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Etha players scored in double figures. Etha's coach Kuriakou Yiangoulis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard EJ Day (180-2000, college: Lasell) responded with 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Ajay Sanders (196-1996, college: Coastal) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Etha (3-6) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Apollon and APOP. PAEEK lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with seven games lost.
