Regular Season Round 7: CAB Madeira - Barcelos 97-52

The most interesting game of round 7 in Liga Feminina was home defeat of 8th ranked Barcelos by first ranked CAB Madeira who outscored them by 45 points 52-97. It was a great evening for American forward Utahya Drye (185-88, college: Virginia Tech) who led her team to a victory with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marta Bravo (180-85) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Collen Planeta (188-88, college: Point Loma) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and her countrywoman guard Bridgette Reyes (170, college: Vanguard) with 6 points. Both coaches used bench players giving the chance to rest for starting five. Barcelos added third loss to their record. CAB Madeira (6-0) stay at first position. Barcelos (2-4) on the other side took seventh place. CAB Madeira are looking forward to the next round to face CDTN (#5) in Torres Novas. Barcelos will play at home against AD Vagos hoping to prove their supporters that they can break losing series.
