Regular Season Round 9: Lietkabelis - Siauliai 90-84

I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams in Panevezys where 5th ranked Siauliai (3-2) was defeated by sixth ranked Techasas (4-3) 90-84. The biggest contributor to a victory was guard Ernestas Ezerskis (192-87) with 19 points and 5 assists. Guard Sarunas Kulevicius (190-89) helped with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) who recorded double-double 19 points and 11 rebounds and guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Coach Antanas Sireika tried in this game 10 players giving the chance to rest for starting five. Thanks to that win Techasas moved-up to fifth place. Siauliai dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Techasas are looking forward to the next round to face bottom-ranked Alytus Alita (#13) on the road which should be an easy walk for them. Siauliai will have a break next round.
