Very expected game when 11th ranked Freiburg (3-6) lost at home to seventh ranked Chemnitz (5-4) 81-65. It was a good game for American power forward Ty Shaw (202-79, college: Albertson, agent: Gerrit Kersten-Thiele) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. His countryman forward Terren Harbut (198-83, college: Ohio) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Janis Heindel (199-83) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Paul Gause (180-86, college: Seton Hall) added 14 points for Freiburg. Both coaches used bench players giving the chance to rest for starting five. Chemnitz (5-4) jumped to the sixth spot. They share that position with Heidelberg and Kirchheim. Freiburg dropped to the eleventh place with 3-6 record. They have the same record like ETB Wohnbau, Jena and Crailsheim.
