No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Hannover (6-4) beat on the road 13th ranked Jena (3-6) 87-80. It was a good game for Canadian guard Stuart Turnbull (188-84) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Charles Little (198-87, college: Dayton) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Larry Cunningham (190-85, college: Cal-Riverside, agent: Ingo Wolf) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and his countryman guard Melvin Hall (183-85, college: S.Indiana) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for Jena. Coach Tino Stumpf tried in this game 10 players giving the chance to rest for starting five. Hannover (6-4) jumped to the fifth spot. Jena dropped to the eleventh place with 3-6 record. They have the same record like ETB Wohnbau, Freiburg and Crailsheim. Hannover are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked Braves (#4) in Homburg and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jena will play at home against SOBA Dragons (#10) hoping to prove their supporters that it was just an accident.
