Regular Season Round 16: Budivelnyk - BC Odessa 69-64
Date: November 20, 2010
Very predictable result in Kyiv where second ranked Budivelnyk (11-3) defeated 7th ranked BC Odessa (8-8) 69-64. However just 4-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard William Keys (188-77, college: N.Mexico St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and forward Leonid Stefanishin (199-85) who added 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Budivelnyk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play his deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Andrew Washington (191-84, college: Delaware) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and his countryman forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) with 18 points and 7 rebounds. . BC Odessa (8-8) added third loss to their record. Despite the victory Budivelnyk stay at second position having just two points less than leader BC Donetsk. BC Odessa (8-8) on the other side took seventh place. Budivelnyk are looking forward to the next round to face bottom-ranked Khimik (#13) in Yuzhny which should be an easy walk for them. BC Odessa will have a break next round.
