Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Braves (6-3) defeated 9th ranked Karlsruhe (4-5) in Homburg 79-74. It was a good game for swingman Max Weber (201-85, agent: Kim Rasmussen) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American guard Stephen Cramer (188-84, college: Hope (MI)) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agent: Kim Rasmussen) answered with 19 points and forward Rouven Roessler (200-80) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for Karlsruhe. Coach Algirdas Milonas tried in this game 10 players in such tough game. Braves (6-3) jumped to the fourth spot. Karlsruhe dropped to the ninth place with 4-5 record. Braves are looking forward to the next round to face Hannover (#5) in Hannover. Karlsruhe will play at home against league's new leader B.Muenchen (#1) hoping to prove their supporters that it was just an accident.
