Regular Season Round 9: ALBA Berlin II - Wulfen 86-62

Date: November 21, 2010
I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams when 5th ranked Wulfen (5-4) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked ALBA Berlin II (5-4) 86-62. Power forward Andreas Seiferth (206-89, college: ALBA Berlin II) stepped up with double-double 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Joshiko Saibou (188-90) helped with 14 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Joseph Henley (196, college: Sacred Heart) with double-double 24 points and 10 rebounds and his countryman guard Steve Briggs (178, college: Okla.Wesleyan) with 18 points. Both coaches used bench players giving the chance to rest for starting five. That victory allowed ALBA Berlin II (5-4) to climb to fifth place in a very successful first year in ProB. They share that position with Langen, defeated Wulfen and BG Illertal. ALBA Berlin II are looking forward to the next round to face Bayer Giants (#8) in Leverkusen. Wulfen will play at home against Vechta hoping to win this game.
