The most interesting game of round 5 was defeat of 3rd placed Sampaense on the road by second ranked Porto Ferpinta who outscored them by 31 points 75-106. It ended the series of two consecutive victories of Sampaense. Nigerian-Dominican guard Sean Ogirri (188-86, college: Wyoming) stepped up with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners and former international forward Nuno Marcal (205-75) helped with 16 points. Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez used all the bench giving the chance to rest for starting five.
