Regular Season Round 5: Beroe - Sportist Svoge 102-64

There was no surprise in Stara Zagora where 9th ranked Sportist Svoge (1-4) was crushed by second ranked Beroe (4-1) 102-64. The best player for the winner was guard Boiko Milenkov (194-83) who had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Andrian Alipiev (197-89) helped with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Beroe's coach Konstantin Boev allowed to play his deep bench players giving the chance to rest for starting five. Power forward Zlatko Zapryanov (199-87) produced double-double 17 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Martin Vassilev (176-96) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Beroe maintains second place having just -1 point less than leader Dunav 2007. Sportist Svoge dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share it with Vidabasket. Beroe are looking forward to the next round to face league's new leader Dunav 2007 in Ruse and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sportist Svoge will play at home against Chavdar (#6) hoping to prove their supporters that it was just an accident.
