Very significant was Fenerbahce's (#5) 22-point road victory against 4th placed Ceyhan Bld 84-62. Naturalized American center Nevin Nevlin (195-85, college: Stanford) nailed double-double 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Italian-American swingman Diana Taurasi (182-82, college: Connecticut) accounted for 9 points and 8 assists. Fenerbahce's coach Laszlo Ratgeber used 11-player rotation giving the chance to rest for starting five. American power forward Monique Coker (188-82, college: ODU) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and her countrywoman swingman Adeola Wylie (173, college: S.Carolina St.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Ceyhan Bld in defeat. Fenerbahce has a solid series of four victories in a row. That victory allowed current champions Fenerbahce (4-1) to climb to second place. They share it with Botas and TED Kayseri. Ceyhan Bld (3-2) on the other side went down to fifth position as they recorded their second loss. Fenerbahce's next round game will be against league's new leader Galatasaray at Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
