There was no surprise in Nurnberg where 9th ranked Schwenningen (3-7) was defeated by fourth ranked NBC (7-3) 78-68. American guard Will Chavis (181-81, college: Texas Tech, agent: Kim Rasmussen) fired 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. His countryman swingman Eric Washington (192-74, college: Alabama, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) helped with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Blake Young (188-85, college: Kansas St., agent: 22ft) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Tomislav Topic (204-78) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Thanks to that win NBC moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Schwenningen keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share it with SU Medien, Gotha and Dt.Bank SKY II. NBC are looking forward to the next round to face BG Illertal (#6) in Weissenhorn. Schwenningen will play at home against Konstanz hoping to prove their fans that it was just an accident.
