Regular Season Round 7: Basaksehir - Selcuk Univ. 66-70

I am not sure if we can call it an upset between close teams when 7th ranked Basaksehir (3-4) lost to eighth ranked Selcuk Univ. (4-3) in Istanbul 66-70. It was a very good performance for former international guard Firat Aydemir (187-80) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Guard Caner Senturk (196-86, agent: Murat Asik) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Tyrus Boswell (202-78, college: Ky Wesleyan) answered with 28 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tufan Aktulgali (202-80) added 9 points and 13 rebounds for Basaksehir. Selcuk Univ. jumped to the sixth spot in group B. Basaksehir keeps the seventh position. They have the same record like Akhisar Bld. Selcuk Univ. are looking forward to the next round to face TED Istanbul (#12) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Basaksehir's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Beykoz.
