Round 6 means a new league leader. The biggest surprisehost Lusitania (#11) barely escaped a defeat edging higher ranked Ginasio by 1 point 63-62. It also means that the series of five victories in a row of Ginasio ended. The biggest contributor to a victory was American center Kenneth Cooper (208-87, college: UAB, agent: Michael Hart) with double-double 13 points and 13 rebounds. Cooper played also previously at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas . Forward Mohamed Camara (196-83) helped with 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-American guard Richard Oruche (191-87, college: Ill.-Springfield, agent: Chet Ervin) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish guard Tomas Barroso (180-90) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Lusitania maintains eleventh position. Ginasio dropped to the second place with one game lost. Ginasio will play next round against league's new leader Porto Ferpinta trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Lusitania will try to continue on it's current victory against fifth ranked Ovarense at home.
