Another important game was played between second ranked Porto Ferpinta and 10th ranked Penafiel where host Porto Ferpinta (6-0) smashed Penafiel (2-4) with 22-point difference 77-55. It allowed Porto Ferpinta to take over leadership positionIt was a good game for American forward Gregory Stempin (203-79, college: Toledo, agent: Emilio Duran) who led his team to a victory with double-double 24 points and 10 rebounds. Former international center Joao Santos (205-79, college: Nevada) contributed with 9 points and 4 assists for the winners. Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez felt such comfortable that he used 11 players and giving the chance to rest for starting five. American guard Jeremy Goode (175-87, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agent: Stefan Heinrich) replied with 17 points and former international swingman Rui Mota (190-78) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for Penafiel. Porto Ferpinta (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Thanks to that win Porto Ferpinta become a new league leader. Newly promoted Penafiel keeps the tenth place with four games lost. Penafiel will play next round against strong Benfica trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Porto Ferpinta will try to continue on it's current victory against second ranked Ginasio at Figueira da Foz.
