There was no surprise in Vilnius where 14th ranked Akademija (4-11) was defeated by ninth ranked Perlas-MRU (7-8) 69-58. Swingman Laurynas Jacevicius (193-88) fired 29 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mantas Kazonas (202-89) helped with 14 points. Center Egidijus Mockevicius (204-92) produced double-double 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Tomas Lekunas (195-93) added 8 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Akademija (4-11) added fourth loss to their record. Thanks to that win Perlas-MRU moved-up to eighth place. Akademija dropped to the twelfth place with eleven games lost. They share it with Delikatesas, Puntukas and Erelita. Perlas-MRU are looking forward to the next round to face Delikatesas (#14) in Joniskis where they are favorite. Akademija will play on the road against Nafta Universitetas hoping to prove their fans that they can break losing series.
