Regular Season Round 9: Aistes-LSU - Utena 67-54

There was no surprise in Kaunas where 6th ranked Utena (1-7) was defeated by third ranked LKKA-Aistes (6-2) 67-54. The biggest contributor to a victory was swingman Vitalija Kaminskyte (182-92) with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Santa Okockyte (176-92) helped with 12 points. LKKA-Aistes' coach Aurimas Jasilionis used all the bench and giving the chance to rest for starting five. At the other side the best for losing team was center Giedre Kirstukaite (190-86) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Asta Daujadiene (176-73) added 9 points and 5 rebounds. LKKA-Aistes (6-2) has a solid series of four victories in a row comparing to seven consecutive losses by Utena. Thanks to that win LKKA-Aistes moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Utena keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. LKKA-Aistes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Laisve.
