Regular Season Round 7: Gelisim - TED Istanbul 72-68

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked TED Istanbul (0-7) lost to fifth ranked Gelisim (5-2) in Izmir 68-72. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a very good performance for American forward Jayme Miller (203-85) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. Center Cihan Mumcuogullari (207-83, college: Concordia (MI), agent: Murat Yenal) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener, agent: Oscar Garcia) answered with double-double 21 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Bulgarian forward Musa Gunes (200-85) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for TED Istanbul. Gelisim jumped to the third spot in group B. They share that position with Gaziantep and Hacettepe Univ. TED Istanbul still at the very bottom. They have the same record like ITU. Gelisim are looking forward to the next round to face league's second-placed Kepez Bld in Antalya and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TED Istanbul will play at home against Selcuk Univ. (#6) hoping to get finally their first victory.
