Very significant was Dunav's (#4) 31-point home victory against 3rd placed Lukoil 97-66 in the game for the third place. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Charel Allen (181-86, college: Notre Dame, agent: Yves Lejeune) who led the winners with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Radoslava Bachvarova (183-87, college: Va Commonwealth) who stepped in adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Coach Georgi Bojkov's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Serbian center Vladinka Erak (190-84) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Angela Tisdale (170-85, college: Baylor, agent: Yves Lejeune) added 13 points for Lukoil in defeat. That victory allowed Dunav (4-3) to climb to third place. Defending champion Lukoil (3-4) on the other side went down to fourth position as they recorded their fourth loss. Dunav's next round game will be against bottom-ranked Slavia (#6) at Sofia. Lukoil will play at home against league's new leader Montana 2003 to get back on winning track.
