I am not sure if we can call it surprise result between close teams in Mersin where sixth ranked Tarsus Bld (4-2) smashed 5th ranked Ceyhan Bld (3-3) 75-54. The biggest contributor to a victory was American power forward Plenette Pierson (188-81, college: Texas Tech) with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Her countrywoman swingman Dominique Canty (175-77, college: Alabama, agent: Stephanie Stanley) helped with 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia, agent: Yves Lejeune) who recorded 8 points and 10 rebounds and Ayse Dilek Unuvar (-82) added 14 points. It was third consecutive victory for Tarsus Bld, while Ceyhan Bld lost their third game in a row. Thanks to that win Tarsus Bld moved-up to fifth place. Ceyhan Bld dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Tarsus Bld are looking forward to the next round to face league's second-placed Galatasaray in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ceyhan Bld will play at home against Samsun (#10) hoping to win this game.
