Regular Season Round 10: SU Medien - Rist Wedel 72-86

Date: November 28, 2010
There was no surprise in Braunschweig where 9th ranked SU Medien (3-7) was defeated by seventh ranked Rist-Wedel (5-5) 86-72. Canadian forward Mitch Leger (198-87) fired double-double 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Trinidad and Tobago-Canadian forward Marlon Pompey (203-83, college: Texas A&M) helped with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Dennis Schroeder (184-93) produced 20 points and center Frank Theis (200-82, agent: Stefan Heinrich) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Rist-Wedel (5-5) has a solid series of three victories in a row. Thanks to that win Rist-Wedel moved-up to sixth place. SU Medien keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share it with Schwenningen, Gotha and Dt.Bank SKY II. Rist-Wedel are looking forward to the next round to face league's second-placed Schwelm on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SU Medien will play against ALBA Berlin II (#5) hoping to prove their fans that it was just an accident.
