Regular Season Round 10: Utena - VICI Aistes 37-86

League top team - VICI Kaunas (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Utena 86-37. Canadian guard Courtnay Pilypaitis (185-88, college: Vermont) notched 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Lina Pikciute (192-90) who supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four VICI Kaunas players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Kristina Palaimaite (191-81, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Utena. Utena's coach Sinilga Bartaseviciute already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players saving starting five for next games. VICI Kaunas (9-0) have an impressive nine-game winning streak comparing to nine consecutive losses by Utena. Defending champion of course still keep top position in the standings. Utena keeps the sixth position with 1-9 record. VICI Kaunas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena LKKA-Aistes.
