First-ranked Zalgiris had no problems in a home game against Siauliai (#8) in Kaunas. Zalgiris (9-0) outscored Siauliai (3-3) with a record 26 points 92-66. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and accounted for 18 points. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) came up with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American center David Weaver (211-87, college: Wake Forest) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Siauliai in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players which allowed his starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They stay at first position. Siauliai who is 3-3 is currently in eighth place as they suffered their third loss.
