Regular Season Round 7: Beroe - Balkan 2 107-105 OT

Balkan 2 (#4) forced the game against Beroe (#3) into overtime, but lost by two points 105-107. It was a great evening for guard Boiko Milenkov (194-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Petar Zagorov (202-86) helped adding 23 points and 12 rebounds. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Stanimir Marinov (191-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Ivaylo Vuchkov (200-90) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite the victory Beroe (5-2) stay at third position having just one point less than leader Dunav 2007. Balkan 2 who is 3-3 went down to fifth place as they suffered their third loss. Beroe is looking forward to face Cherno More U18 (#8) in Varna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Balkan 2 will play at home against Chavdar in Troyan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
