Fourth-ranked Donau-Ries had no problems in a home game against Leipzig (#9) in Donauwoerth. Donau-Ries (8-3) outscored Leipzig (3-8) with a record 20 points 73-53. The best player for the winners was Slovakian center Dasa Rajecka (189-87) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Morgan Henderson (185-88, college: San Diego) chipped in 12 points. Five Donau-Ries players scored in double figures. American forward Candace Williams (183-88, college: New Hampshire) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The victory allowed Donau-Ries (8-3) to climb to third place. They share it with Saarlouis. Leipzig who is 3-8 is currently in ninth position as they suffered their eighth loss. Donau-Ries will meet Herner (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leipzig will play against the league's new leader Marburg and hope to secure a win.
