Regular Season Round 20: BC Kyiv - Dnipro 81-88

Date: December 6, 2010
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked BC Kyiv (5-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Dnipro (10-9) 88-81 on Monday. Dnipro trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 32-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Daniel Kozlov (207-82) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Steve Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who added 22 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. The former international forward Vitaly Kovalenko (201-84) responded with 34 points (!!!) and the former international forward Oleg Saltovets (202-77) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. BC Kyiv's coach Vitaliy Cherniy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite the victory Dnipro stay at sixth position. BC Kyiv is currently in eleventh place with a 5-14 record as they suffered their fourteenth loss. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
