Second-ranked Lemminkainen (7-3) was crushed by fifth ranked Laisve (6-5) in Kaunas 85-62. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Ligita Kinkeviciene (173-76) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 assists. Forward Jurga Budryte (187-81) accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Five Laisve players scored in double figures. Laisve's coach Andrius Kuliesius felt very confident using 10 players seeing no chance for a win. The former international forward Rima Margeviciute (191-81, college: Liberty) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Lemminkainen in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Laisve. The victory allowed Laisve (6-5) to climb to the fourth place. Lemminkainen is currently in second position with a 7-3 record as they suffered their third loss. Laisve will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lemminkainen will play at home against the league's leader VICI Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
