Regular Season Round 14: Vaerlose - Bakken 79-83 OT

Eighth-ranked Vaerlose (4-10) made lots of trouble for second ranked Bakken (14-0). The visitors from Aarhus managed to secure only four-point victory 83-79. But their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was international guard Andreas Jakobsen (187-83, college: Columbia (MO), agent: Kim Rasmussen) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. American-Belizean guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. American forward Bonell Colas (206-82, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Pape Ba (205-81, college: Bethune-Cookman) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Bakken have an impressive twelve-game winning streak. They become a new league leader. Newly promoted Vaerlose keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Bakken is looking forward to face Aabyhoj (#5) on the road in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Aalborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
