An interesting game took place in Odessa where 7th ranked BC Odessa (10-10) was upset on it's own court by tenth ranked Halychyna (10-10) 79-70 on Thursday. Halychyna outrebounded BC Odessa 45-31 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian center Scott Morrison (212-86, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Nick Williams (192-83, college: Cincinnati, agent: Misko Raznatovic) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Halychyna players scored in double figures. Halychyna's coach Andrei Podkovyrov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Andrew Washington (191-84, college: Delaware) responded with 22 points and his fellow American import forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Despite the victory Halychyna (7-12) stay at tenth position. BC Odessa is currently in seventh place with a 10-10 record as they suffered their tenth loss. Halychyna will face higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#9) in Zaporozhye in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
