There was an upset when higher ranked SC Rist Wedel (5-7) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (4-8) 70-64 on Saturday. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 20-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Henje Knopke (193-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 assists and guard Martin Kemp (182-85) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Mitch Leger (198-87) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Mac-Davis Duah (186-76) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. SC Rist Wedel's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory allowed Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (4-8) to climb to the ninth place in group North. They share it with SU Medien and Bayer Giants. SC Rist Wedel is currently in seventh position with a 5-7 record as they suffered their seventh loss.
