Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked BV Chemnitz 99 and 6th ranked Hannover Tigers had identical 6-5 record. This time BV Chemnitz 99 used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Hannover 82-72. The game rather controlled by BV Chemnitz 99. Hannover Tigers managed to win third quarter 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ty Shaw (202-79, college: Albertson, agent: Gerrit Kersten-Thiele) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and naturalized Afghani guard Achmadschah Zazai (177-86) who added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Calvin Henry (198-86, college: Mercer) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian guard Stuart Turnbull (188-84) scored 21 points. Five BV Chemnitz 99 and four Hannover Tigers players scored in double figures. BV Chemnitz 99 (7-5) jumped to the fourth spot. They share the position with Osnabrueck and Kirchheim. Hannover Tigers dropped to the seventh place with 6-6 record. They have the same record like Heidelberg and Karlsruhe. BV Chemnitz 99 will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hannover Tigers will play against the league's second-placed s Oliver Baskets (#2) in Wuerzburg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
