Regular Season Round 9: Kepez Bld - TED Istanbul 79-69

TB2L top team - Kepez Bld (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked TED Istanbul (1-8) in Antalya 79-69. The game rather controlled by Kepez Bld. TED Istanbul managed to win second quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kepez Bld forced 20 TED Istanbul turnovers. TED Istanbul was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) stepped up and scored 29 points and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Ogun Sevinc (198-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener, agency: BrezoPro) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Bulgarian forward Musa Gunes (200-85) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Four TED Istanbul players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kepez Bld has a solid series of four victories in a row. They stay at first position in group B. TED Istanbul is currently in eleventh place with a 1-8 record as they suffered their eighth loss. Kepez Bld will face Gaziantep (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
