Regular Season Round 9: Usak - Darussafaka 67-55

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Usak (7-2) beat at home 6th ranked Darussafaka (5-4) 67-55 on Sunday. Usak trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually win the game 67-55. Center Cem Coskun (209-87) stepped up and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and swingman Ufuk Yanar (197-81) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Usak players scored in double figures. Usak's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Gordon (201-85, college: Alabama St., agency: EM-PA) with 7 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Engin Elhan (204-79) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. They has a solid series of three victories in a row. The victory allowed Usak (7-2) to take over a leadership position in group A. They share it with Vestel and Genc Banvit. Darussafaka is currently in sixth place with a 5-4 record as they suffered their fourth loss. Usak will face Final Genclik (#6) in Bursa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbul B.B..
