No shocking result in a game in Frankfurt where third ranked NBC (9-3) won against 11th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners II (3-9) 70-60 on Sunday. The game rather controlled by NBC. Deutsche Bank Skyliners II managed to win second quarter 10-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Juan Reile (186-87) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Will Chavis (181-81, college: Texas Tech, agent: Kim Rasmussen) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. NBC's coach Derrick Taylor allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Fabian Franke (198-88) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Christopher Rojik (200-74, college: Holy Cross) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. NBC has a solid three-game winning streak. The victory allowed NBC (9-3) to climb to the second place in group South. They share it with Licher Baeren. Deutsche Bank Skyliners II lost fourth consecutive game. The team is currently in eleventh position with a 3-9 record. NBC will face TV 1862 Langen (#4) on the road in the next round. Deutsche Bank Skyliners II will play against Baskets Konstanz (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
