Very expected game when 13th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (4-8) lost at home to third ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (8-4) 75-69. It looked good early as Dragons Rhoendorf took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Saar-Pfalz Braves had a 26-17 second quarter charge getting the lead and Dragons Rhoendorf was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-75. American players dominated also this game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Rob Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) who added 15 points during the contest. Saar-Pfalz Braves' coach Nenad Josipovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Sanijay Watts (193-87, college: Cent.Missouri, agent: Ingo Wolf) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ryan Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Saar-Pfalz Braves did not change their third position in the standings. Dragons Rhoendorf lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place. They have the same record like ETB Wohnbau. Saar-Pfalz Braves will play against GiroLive-Ballers (#4) in Osnabrueck in the next round. Dragons Rhoendorf will play at home against BV Chemnitz 99 (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
