The most important game of round 8 in Division A took place in Ruse undefeated host Dunav 2007 (#1) smashed lower ranked NSA (#4) by 42 points 110-68 on Sunday evening. It also means the end of NSA's two-game winning streak. The game without a history. Dunav 2007 lead from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dunav 2007 dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to NSA's 38. Dunav 2007 forced 20 NSA turnovers and outrebounded them 44-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by NSA's players. The best player for the winners was guard Ventsislav Petkov (188-91) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Hristo Gospodinov (202-92) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. Four Dunav 2007 players scored in double figures. Guard Tsvetelin Mladenov (190-90) produced 20 points and 7 assists and guard Daniel Klechkov (195-90) added 15 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dunav 2007 (7-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of straight 7 victories. NSA at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Balkan 2. Dunav 2007 is looking forward to face league's second-placed Academik Plovdiv on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. NSA will play against Balkan 2 in Botevgrad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
