Regular Season Round 15: Naestved - Horsens IC 67-65

Another exciting game for Naestved (11-5) which hosted Horsens IC (8-8). Third ranked Naestved saved the game by a tiny margin of two points 67-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Horsens IC. . The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Horsens IC won fourth quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naestved outrebounded Horsens IC 55-26 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay (OH)) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. The former international power forward Peter Johansen (205-80, agency: Arik Krayn Services) helped adding 5 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Rickey Claitt (188-87, college: Oregon St.) with 17 points and 7 assists and the former international swingman Alan Madsen (189-78) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Naestved have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They did not change their third position in the standings. Horsens IC keeps the fourth place. Naestved will play against bottom-ranked Aalborg (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Horsens IC will play against SISU (#7) in Copenhagen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
