NBL top team - Lukoil Academik (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Chernomorets (3-7) in Burgas 99-57. It looked good early as Chernomorets took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lukoil Academik took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 42 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Chernomorets to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Lukoil Academik dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 38. Lukoil Academik outrebounded Chernomorets 48-29 including a 43-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners.
