Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Kirchheim Knights (8-5) defeated on the road 7th ranked USC Heidelberg (6-7) 95-89. It looked good early as USC Heidelberg took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kirchheim Knights had a 29-12 second period charge getting the lead and USC Heidelberg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-95. American guard Cedric Brooks (185-80, college: Pittsburg St.) nailed 32 points and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Ryan De Michael (205-77, college: Tennessee-Martin) accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Bjorn Schoo (213-81, college: Northern St., agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard James Wright (187-81, college: Colorado, agency: Impact Basketball) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for USC Heidelberg in the defeat. Four USC Heidelberg players scored in double figures. USC Heidelberg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory allowed Kirchheim Knights (8-5) to climb to the fourth place. They share it with Chemnitz. USC Heidelberg is currently in seventh position with a 6-7 record.
