No shocking result in a game when second ranked Rudupis (9-2) beat 9th ranked Siauliai (4-4) in Prienai 78-63 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Rudupis. Siauliai managed to win third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Forward Povilas Butkevicius (201-87) nailed 23 points for the winning side and swingman Adas Juskevicius (194-89) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Darius Gvezdauskas (191-88) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Siauliai in the defeat. Siauliai's coach Antanas Sireika rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Rudupis. They did not change their second position in the standings. Siauliai lost their third straight game in a row. They dropped to the seventh place. Rudupis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Siauliai will play against Perlas (#12) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
