The most important game of round 12 took place in Klaipeda undefeated guest VICI Kaunas (#1) defeated lower ranked Lemminkainen (#2) by 17 points 78-61 on Friday evening. VICI Kaunas forced 20 Lemminkainen turnovers. It was a great shooting night for VICI Kaunas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American center Amanda Kemezys (192-87, college: Saint Louis) who scored 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). International swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. VICI Kaunas' coach Mantas Sernius used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Monika Grigalauskyte (187-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and forward Laura Povilonyte (185-86, college: Gardner-Webb) added 18 points respectively. VICI Kaunas (11-0) have an impressive eleven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of straight 11 victories. Lemminkainen at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
