Regular Season Round 22: Ferro-ZNTU - Budivelnyk 65-82

Superleague top team - Budivelnyk (16-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Ferro-ZNTU (11-11) in Zaporozhye 82-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ferro-ZNTU. The game without a history. Budivelnyk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Lamayne Wilson (204-80, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. British center Andrew Betts (216-77, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Josep Berrocal used a eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-Jamaican guard Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-86, college: Providence) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American forward Vincent Hunter (208-84, college: Arkansas) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ferro-ZNTU. Budivelnyk have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They of course still keep top position in the standings. Ferro-ZNTU dropped to the sixth place. They have the same record like Mykolaiv and BC Odessa. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro-ZNTU will play on the road against Dnipro (#9) in Dnepropetrovsk and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
